At Sparking Speech, I believe that by adopting a collaborative approach with parents/carers, teachers and other professionals involved with your child, we can provide a co-ordinated approach to support your child’s speech, language and communication development.

Aoife Tierney, Senior SLT, Sparking Speech
I’m Aoife, a clinical specialist Speech & Language Therapist, founder of Sparking Speech and creator of The AAC Advocates.
After graduating in 2012 with a B.Sc. (Hons) in Speech and Language Therapy and working in the NHS, I returned to Ireland in 2020 and founded Sparking Speech to provide families with evidence-based support.
Since then, Sparking Speech has grown to provide ongoing, specialist support to

✅ Teachers, educators, special needs assistants and principals.
✅ Speech & Language Therapists.
✅ Charities and organisations.
My focus is on providing a range of supports to ensure you get access to evidence-based, neuroaffirming training, resources and products.

Every training, resource and product follows a neuro-affirmative approach so you can implement it into your daily life and regular routines.
There should be no such thing as gatekeeping when it comes to AAC. Your child deserves the ability to communicate, however that looks and you deserve the support to help them on their journey.
Every child wants to feel safe, heard and understood. Creating connections is where this starts, in whatever form it takes, encouraging children to continue communicating and expressing themselves.
